Accessibility Disclaimer

The rights of people with disabilities and the commitment of society in Israel towards these rights is based on the recognition of the equal-rights law, recognizing the value of the human being that was created in His image and on the Equal Rights Law for Persons with Disabilities (passed in 1998).

Accessibility on campuses

Currently, Seminar HaKibbutzim College is in the throes of a comprehensive process to make the campus accessible to the disabled, concurrent with the regulations of the Equal Rights Law for Persons with Disabilities (adapting accessibility in existing public places that are institutions for higher education and the services they provide for higher education, 2016).

The main campus was built in the 1960s and 1970s in the and it is in the process of “evacuation and reconstruction”, and will be transferred to an entirely new building.

We are working in collaboration with the commissionership of equality in the Ministry of Justice in order to adapt the accessibility process according to the regulations of this intermediary status quo.

The campus for the Arts is a two-story building owned by the Tel-Aviv municipality, and was also built in times when the law of accessibility had not been legislated. Because of the transient nature of the use of the building, the municipality did not carry out the changes required for accessibility to the top floor. Moreover, presently, a process of accessibility is underway under the auspices of Seminar HaKibbutzim, and is in accordance with the engineering specifications and qualifications of the building and in reference to the intermediary phase of the rebuilding of the new campus.

A large number of classrooms on both campuses are in line with the accessibility regulations and therefore, due to the limitations of accessibility in various buildings, the college is prioritizing the accessible classrooms for courses in which there are students with disabilities.

Accessibility of the internet site

The regulations for equal rights for persons with disabilities, Seminar HaKibbutzim is conducted in accordance with amendment 35, and according to the accessibility guidance in the regulations (adapting accessibility to ensure service) 2013 recognized by the Israeli standard. “Guidelines for accessibility, content in the Israeli internet” Web content 5568 Level AA – for the guideline document of the international organization addressing standardization on the internet 2.0 (WCAG) Accessibility Guidelines.
