Vision of the Center
Empathy in education places good interpersonal relations at the center of the educational-social experience and considers their cultivation to be a value and a condition for learning and growth. The Center for Empathy in Education and Society works to promote meaningful relationships based on attentiveness, valuing the perspective of others and building trust between people to serve as a basis for coexistence in the education system and the public sphere.
Goals of the Center
- To develop the conceptual framework for empathy in education and society, promote research and develop a variety of activities to study the empathic approach and foster empathic skills among educators in a variety of settings.
- To cultivate empathic skills in the college among the academic faculty, administrative staff and students.
