“Only through education, and in particular the humanities, can we change the face of Israeli society”
The aim of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Kibbutzim College is to produce graduates with broad, in-depth and up-to-date knowledge in their areas of specialization: graduates with boundless intellectual and cultural curiosity.
We seek to foster caring and involved teachers, educators and therapists, citizens with a moral-humanistic worldview, equipped with tools for critical thinking and who make self-learning a life-long habit.
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences offers a variety of unique undergraduate programs: a B.Ed. degree in English, history, literature, Bible, Jewish culture; academic post-graduate teacher-training programs in civics, English, history, literature, Bible and Jewish culture; Master’s degree programs (M.Ed.) in the humanities based on a multi-disciplinary approach; and four programs that specialize in the training of art therapists (M.A.A.T) in visual arts, bibliotherapy, psychodrama and movement. The programs combine the in-depth study of the various knowledge areas with humanistic and multi-disciplinary content relevant to Israeli society.
We wish to train future teachers who believe that education is a value in its own right, and who aspire to train the next generation of students in Israel in the humanities and social sciences.
